This expresses perfectly what Uber is to me.

…elf as a middleman between individuals who already share assets peer-to-peer was a stroke of genius. The innovation was not technology — it was using tech to concentrate economic control while avoiding material costs.
The sharing economy doesn’t work. It was never meant to.

This expresses perfectly what Uber is to me.
Btw check out BlaBlaCar, that's the real "sharing economy" but unfortunately it only operates in Europe. Cheaper drive for the driver, the passenger and better for the planet, a win-win-win, all without any exploitation involved.
